Kyle yawned in the backseat of the taxi he had fallen asleep in it, he didn’t realize till he woke up and saw himself separated from the driver by flexi glass. It was pretty easy after having slept in a cab so many times before though to be honest this cab spelled worse than Chas’s. Looking out the window he saw the Washington Monument among other things. Why was he in Washington DC do you ask? Well he had a lead for a job to do and he was looking toward visiting the Hall of Justice for an assignment he had.
Kyle groaned at the thought of his other job, the Justice League. His father hadn’t been the most popular person for the team to ask for help, Batman did throw him out of his car once. It was only thanks to his mother, and father’s ex girlfriend, Zatanna was he even allowed to join in. Hellblazer wasn’t much of a team player not then and definitely not now but Kyle realized something his father never liked to admit. There was power in numbers and if something went down it was nice to know you had a posy of stronger and more threatening heroes to help you if you needed it.
Paying the man Kyle got out of the cab, it drove off behind him as he stood before the street he was dropped off at. The sky was cloudy as it usually was in the East Coast; Kyle lit a cigarette and started smoking it. With an exhale he started walking along the busy street people partying for him with a feeling of danger though it was subtle.
